Kalona, Iowa was featured in the Bluff the Listener segment of last week's "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me" (the hilarious NPR news quiz). I know it sounds weird to be excited about a small town in Iowa, but that's where Justin's grandparents live! This is the second time that there's been a story about a town where my family lives. The first was when Beach Park, IL, where my parents live, was a part of Bluff the Listener. Something crazy needs to happen here so that Chambana can be on the show next!
"Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me" can be downloaded (for free!) from iTunes. Listen to the 9/26/09 program to hear about Kalona, and 11/9/08 to hear about Beach Park.
