Saving the world with some pretty little bottles

In my quest to save the world, I have sworn off bottled water in favor of using reusable water bottles. I originally bought a couple nalgene bottles, but then the Today show happened and, a couple weeks ago when Justin noticed that I was still daring to use my nalgene bottles, he insisted that I replace them with something that will not give me cancer. I'm still skeptical about the whole BPA leaching thing (if I'm going to get cancer it's most likely not going to be from drinking out of plastic bottles), but I thought I might as well appease my husband since it was really sweet of him to be so concerned for my health.

I looked around online for some new non-plastic, non-carcinogenic reusable water bottles and found a brand called SIGG (www.mysigg.com). They make these really awesome aluminum bottles that are decorated with all sorts of designs. They are also completely recyclable once they get to a point where they are too beat up to use (some people claim to have had their SIGG bottles for 20 years!) and better yet, as with all reusable bottles, they (1) prevent tons of plastic bottles from going into the landfill, (2) reduce the amount of petroleum used to make and transport those plastic bottles, and (3) all this helps to reduce my carbon footprint. So SIGG bottles score bonus points in my book because not only are they earth friendly, they are also really pretty.

I have no complaints so far. In fact, I like them better than my nalgene bottles - they weigh less and they look way cooler. These are the bottles we got off of the REI website (www.rei.com)...
