Rue La La

I found out of this through a friend who posted an invite link on Facebook. Rue La La is an invitation-only online store that showcases different "boutiques" everyday. These boutiques sell designer brands of clothes, jewelry, home goods, etc. at discounted prices. From what I can tell, most of the stuff is marked down about 50%, so at the very least it's a website to keep an eye on for any steals. Anyone who is interested can click on my invite link below. Wait, wait... I know that town!

Kalona, Iowa was featured in the Bluff the Listener segment of last week's "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me" (the hilarious NPR news quiz). I know it sounds weird to be excited about a small town in Iowa, but that's where Justin's grandparents live! This is the second time that there's been a story about a town where my family lives. The first was when Beach Park, IL, where my parents live, was a part of Bluff the Listener. Something crazy needs to happen here so that Chambana can be on the show next!

"Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me" can be downloaded (for free!) from iTunes. Listen to the 9/26/09 program to hear about Kalona, and 11/9/08 to hear about Beach Park.

This needs to happen more often

If you have ever wished that life could be more like a musical, or if you don't like musicals because no one in real life ever randomly bursts out into song and dance, you need to watch this video. Either way it should brighten your day. I couldn't help but smile when I saw it.
