Running the 5K was fun. My goal was just to finish; meeting or beating my time from last year would have been an added bonus. I finished the race, running the entire time, but my time was 2 minutes slower than last year, which really highlights how much better shape I was in last year (I'm working on that though, slowly but surely). The cool thing about the race this year was that I had a running buddy, a woman named Marie Christine, she and I had fallen back a bit after the start and were at about the same pace so she asked if I wanted to run with her so we'd both have some moral support. It was very encouraging to run with someone else and I think it helped keep me going. Justin ran the 5K too, but he's always been much faster than me so running together only lasted about 2 minutes. It would be awesome if one day I could get fast enough to keep up with him.
Here's a picture of me and my running buddy. We had completed 1 lap by this time (1.5 miles) so I was already pretty tired.

More 5K pictures can be found here on the Quest website.
